It says USA, but does anyone know what state the factory is located? Not the corporate office or the warranty center but the actual forging factory.
Isn't Proto owned by Stanley now? And they have some experience labeling foreign-made tools as USA.
MAC and Proto forgings (wrenches, sockets, ratchets, etc..) are done in Stanley Works in Dallas. Duratek screwdrivers are made in Cheraw, South Carolina.
Now? Proto has been a division of Stanley for 32 years, MAC for 36 years, Blackhawk for 30 years. Not exactly a new development. Its fun to **** on them but honestly I think Stanley is one of the best USA based tool companies. Top notch products for the most part and their customer service is excellent.

I know the headquarters is in the beautiful state of CT. New Britain, CT on Stanley rd or Proto dr or something like that. About an hour from where I live in Southern CT...
Mac tools is from Ohio, which is under Stanley Umbrella. I wouldn't be surprised if some of their stuff was made there. I am going to email them and ask.
