I found this jack a while ago at princess auto, and I'm super happy with it.
It's a beast and can raise a car by a lot more than any other jack that I've seen.
Honestly there's no competition as far as I now.

Part humber is tr15005 (torin big red)
It's a very obscure jack it seems, not for sale anywhere. It was there and now it's gone.

The one concern I've had since I owned it, it is that the boot had ripped. It was super dry, like it rotted out and almost started crumbling.

Given how much I like the jack and want to protect it, since there's nothing comparable out there, I want to replace the dust boot.

I've seen those CV axle boots that you glue or bolt together, but I can't seem to find anything like this.

I wonder if anyone has previously replaced a jack boot and it so, where did you get one?

Looks like a rack & pinion steering bellows (boot). My advice, go to your local Pick-N-Pull, climb under some cars and take some measurements. With some slight modifications I'm sure you could make one work!

Did you try calling them? their website has a tollfree number for USA/Canada, 1-888-44-TORIN or the regular phone number 1-909-390-8588, or even a fax number, 1-909-390-8618.

I have never seen a jack w/ a boot on it before this. So, If you find a rack boot that fits close enough at the ends, I'd slit it lengthwise, and install it so the slit is on the bottom. If it pops open too much near the center, a couple of wire ties would take care of that.

I've also never seen a jack with a "boot". I can't imagine it is necessary, there must be millions of jacks in use for decades without anything like that at all. You could go to a wrecker and find something that fits but I wouldn't put a lot of time into it personally.

I did, their website is broken, can't send a message because the picture to prove you're not a bot doesn't load.

Like Mike said they have a phone number Toll Free Number 1-888-44-Torin

Thats always my first choice anyway. I dont understand why everyone is afraid to talk to somebody in person.

I'm not afraid to talk to anyone, foreigner or not, as long as they have any clue what they're talking about, which is often not the case. Also don't enjoy getting transferred, put on hold, going through a myriad of different options, press this, press that, error, disconnect etc.
I wish I could dial a number and speak to someone directly! Those days are gone ...
I left 1-888-44-Torin a voice-mail as the only option, will see if they call me back :)

The boot was a lot larger than steering rack (tie rod) or even an axle boot.
I'm reassured to hear that no one has seen a jack boot, maybe it's not really needed!

off-road shock absorber boot is what it looks like, I'm sure you can find one near enough in size.

Also look at linear actuator rod suppliers.

Also look on McMaster-Carr. You likely won't like their unit pricing or shipping charges, but you can probably at least identify a part name or category for more shopping elsewhere.

It seems we get lots of oddball torin/big red jacks here for a short time and then gone. I won a couple 20Ton low profile jacks at a local auction, no where to be found on the torin or big red website, it showed up on a google cached amazon search, but following the link took me to the current product. I only found them still listed on some website from india. And looking up your part number, seems to be the same case. Considering where they are made, I suspect Torin orders a couple conatiners worth of product for a steep discount and then goes on to the next one they can get cheap removing all trace of the old product.

I'll go along with give a shock boot a try. If you don't want amazon;

Ahh princess auto. Home of the never ending product discontinue. Did you try PA? They have been known to stock some parts, unless its a dreaded "Special Buy" then all bets are off.

Realistically, I just wouldnt even worry about it and not use the boot at all. Ive never seen a boot on a jack, and that includes top of the line Snapon and Hein Warner jacks
