i work off my 4ft aluminum step ladder everyday and have always bought the real good heavy featherlite ladders.my old ladder was getting very wore out so I ordered a new featherlite.the new replacement is a light pce of shite supposedly rated for 300 lbs.i have a hook on the side of ladder to hang my paslode impulse nail gun on,many times when I step of the ladder it falls over.damn thing is too lite weight to handle the 15lbs of nail gun, makes it top heavy.where in the fack can a guy buy a real nice heavy 4ft aluminum step ladder?????????

cheers

Get a 4' Little Giant, and you will have several ladders in one. That Paslode gun won't pull it over, either.

Second choice would be a Werner Type 1A fiberglass.

Little Giant sounds like perfect match for your use.

Get the best tool for the job !! :D

Fiberglass would be my 2nd choice. Also, if I was standing on ladder rungs all day, I'd surely purchase or design my own wide step to put on the rungs. Foot arches really hate standing on ladder rungs.

If your heavy the little giant steps can get uncomfortable. Type 1A fiberglass is my preference.

I like Werner fiberglass and aluminum ladders. A bit heavier than all aluminum, but they feel more secure.

Get at least a Type IA, 300 lb capacity. Type IAA is rated at 375 lbs.

Sold at all "big box" stores.

A couple of years ago, my wife bought a 3 step stool with an upper shelf. It has wide steps. Hallelujah ! When I have to paint indoor, this is my tool of choice. No more "dead' feet and legs after painting.

I had to make some "modifications" to get my paint roller pan to stay securely on the shelf.

Got several of these in fiberglass. They're very sturdy. My 10 ft folder is rock solid standing at the top. Very nice ladders.
