Where to buy Bend Pak?

I'd like to get the XPR-10A, I'm in Canada. I have the ability to haul and unload it myself and will travel to the US if there is money to be saved.

What are you guys paying for your lifts and from where?

I believe GES will deliver as close to the border as possible for a XPR-10A Dual-Width, 10,000 Lb. Capacity, Two-Post Car Lift, Asymmetric.

A friend in Winnipeg bought that same lift from Babco Equipment. No connection or personal experience for me. He was happy and said the price was better than importing via the US after the taxes/import duties.

Northern Tool is $3383 delivered to the border with taxes.
GES is $3233 delivered to the border with taxes.

I bought mine from Babco in March of this year. They are located in BC,I am on the other side the country,(PE),not a problem in the world,terrific to deal with. I received a call the day after I ordered it telling me it would be even cheaper then the first invoice price becasue they were going on sale later that week........you can't beat that!!!

I am a member and I am the BendPak dealer for Canada

So how many of you would want to order a lift?
We (babco) are $3,220cdn for a XPR10A including shipping from BC to Winnipeg. The USA is about $2,950cdn to the border, my personal credit card charges me 2.5% for US purchases, does yours? I learned this from a holiday in the USA.

What if I did $3,050 if you don't use a credit card delivered to Winnipeg. You can pay by wire, payments online at CIBC, money order and cheque (we will hold till it clears).

The US dealers only offer free shipping in the USA, not across the border. All shipments in the US are done by BendPak as the US dealers don't stock and BendPak protects us by not shipping across the border.
In Canada we have to buy the lifts, stock, ship, handle warranty etc, I am not complaining but it does have costs. I have 5 in stock in BC and 1 in Ontario, with 23 more on order. I can put packages together for other cities too and I will include other models. I am willing to work with you guys.

I just need you to do one thing, when you ask for a quote mention that you are from Garage Journal. You can even go as far as mentioning my name or just e-mail me [email protected] and I will make sure you get a special price. BLK88GT requested a quote online and thankfully I thought it might be one of you guys and e-mailed him to ask. If not our sales people will quote the normal price.
We have a truckload of Dannmar 4 post lifts and MaxJax arriving this week. There will be a lower price hopefully July 31 online. Its hobby lift season so inventory moves quickly.

looking at a xpr-15c as i do a fair amount of work on full size trucks and weldingtrucks. after a hoist that doesnt allow a vehicle to "rock" as you are working on it. very nice to see bruce rom babco on here to ask questions.

Dang, wish I would have seen this post, could have saved me some $$. Ordered my XPR-10A back in October from Karlene and had it installed by TND Maintenance. All around it was a great process including the follow up call from Babco to see how everything was going.

Ordered my HD9XW and RJ4500 Rolling Jack from Babco and had it delivered and installed here just outside of London ON. GREAT people and good follow up!.. The installer is a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, but then, no one is perfect!!..LOL. Seriously, great people to deal with. I did mention this Forum and got a discount as Bruce said.

I'm also getting ready to order an XPR-10 or XPR10A (haven't quite decided yet) in the next month or so when the new shop is ready. Babco is about my only option by the looks of it due to duties and shipping from the border to here. I notice this thread is from last year but hopefully I can still get some sort of "special" GJ member pricing. Every little bit helps....the budget for the shop is already blown to hell and back lol.

Karlene has been great. Ordered my HD9SWX earlier this year. Although there was a screw up with the order which resulted in a long delivery time, Karlene and Bruce made good. And I got along great with Sheldon who helped me install the lift.

Just ordered the RJ45 rolling jack, and the oil drain pan. Should be here in time for winter tire change day
