I like to pride myself on being pretty good at investigating online, but i am having helluva time finding any big size tool distributors here in Canada. besides the obvious of Acklands, etc etc. I am leaning towards a Canadian counterpart of MSC.

My Problem is i am looking for a new chest.top combo. so so many online choices in USA to choose from. But shipping and customs would kill me on that kind of item

Here, it is like do we use tool boxes, lol?

I have an older Craftsman Professional Series, has done me fine, but retiring that one to home.

SPG International is a Canadian company, lol, they make international tool boxes(obviously) plus countless others for other "names". You think they would list some online distributors or even any distributors of their products here in Canada,

I definately Can't afford a truck tool box, plus would be a waste, i work in industrial(mines and mills) and most shops i am in lol....the nice boxes would be reduced to crud in few months.

So if anyone could help me out with some options here be appreciated :)

looking in the 1-2k range, around a 42"

have you checked out the CTC professional boxes? I have seen them, don't own one, but found they look pretty good. Aside from that I'd look at the Gray stuff for sure. I lucked into a used snap on with side cabinet and 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 inch deep and shallow sockets and respective extensions and ratchets for (gulp) $800.00. I know, I got totally ripped off (ahem) so if you keep your eyes open deals are there. I did look for over 2 years though.

Good luck!

Gray make nice combos , dont take me wrong, it's price factor, they can buy in the USA an international box made in Canada for 1400-1600, not talking about the international II line which is imported from taiwan.same setup here is like 2200-2500.factor in exchange rate, and they still buy our made in Canada boxes for lot cheaper in states then we can buy them:(... I wouldn't doubt if International made them all(westward, gray, jet)

thanks for help guys, yes i have been looking for second hand, was a great deal few months ago here, lady won a snapon 56 wide bottom in contest, i couldnt pull the trigger right away, was debating if 56" to wide for most shops i am in, then said wtf price too good i can resell it, in that hour she sold it for like 800, was over 2500 for box i believe

Luke, at what distributor did you purchase your combo at?

Cisco (Dixie & 401 in Mississauga). There was a massive Westward sale going on in June. 50% off I got em both for $1247. They might still be selling them cheap though. The owner told me he bought 30 combos for an amazing price.

Its hard to get stuff up here, not just boxes. Looking in forums you start to see quite a gap between what they pay in the US and we pay here. Shipping is a real killer for us up here compared to the states.

About boxes, Princess Auto carries SPG that are allright. Ive been using Canadian Tires Professional (I think its waterloo) top and bottom for close to 10? years. Theyre holding up pretty well except for the bottom box. bottom drawer sliders where i keep my air tools are worn out.
