In the process of finishing the interior of a 40x64 post frame building. I would like to find R-19 unfaced fiberglass blanket in 96" width, but having an extremely difficult time locating any. Does anyone have recommendations on where to check? The best local option I have come up with is Menards R-19 faced metal building insulation, but it is only available in 48" and 60" widths.

width or length? Usually here you can buy rolls that are 15" wide and 39' long. That would give you 5ea 94" long strips 15" tall. They also have 23" wide etc.. Have you considered closed cell spray foam, with some kind of fire block on it?

To get the 8' wide blankets, you probably have to go to a commercial supplier. Might be worth asking local commercial red iron and pole building installers who they would recommend or calling an insulation contractor to see if they can source it for you

Why do you need 96" wide? Usually it comes with a tab for joining adjacent sheets. My metal building had poles at 10' But the insulation that came with it was 60" wide rolls, pre-taped tabs on one side.

Mine came from Silvercote, which should do a customer quote for you based on what you're looking for.

Call up Bay Insulation, they are the major player in the insulation game. Last I talked to them they were around 60 cents a square foot for R19 unfaced. I chose a 23 1/4" x 96" wide batt at Menard for 41 cents a square foot. I found metal hangers to hold the batts to the girts until the interior girts are installed to provide the friction fit to hold them.
