Where to find Non-detergent oil

What I have always done at home and seen done at work is run the right thing-
Mobil Rarus 427

The campus I work on has many compressors that see ALOT of run time in older buildings that have leaky pneumatic HVAC control systems.
Their oil change interval is way more hours than would be seen by most homeowner units. While they have some problems here and there, there is never an oil related problem.

Unless the OP's compressor is in an unheated area and it is going to run in the winter because Mobil 427 has a pour point of 16°F. Personally, my my barn will get colder than that in the dead of winter at night, so if you turn the compressor on first thing in the morning, that oil won't be flowing and lubricating very well.

To clarify-
At work they are in "room" temperature rooms. Between 70-90F temps depending on the time of year.
At home I have run my 2-stage Champion between 20-100F temps in a bit above "homeowner" duty with no problems.
At 16F extemes, I'm sure there are better choices.

What some people swear by others swear at. I swear by Mobil 427.

Do you guys think I need to follow manufacture recommend of 30 hrs before changing to synthetic compressor oil? I had it for 10 years I only had 10 hours on the hour meter.

Zoro has Mobil Rarus 427 which is ISO 100 (SAE 30) about $23/gallon

best oil for my sailor-beal by a long way. buy at zero thru walmart, very inexpensive.

I would! Or at least change the oil a few times with mineral before going to synthetic. The pumps I've worked on seemed to do better with fresh mineral before a switchover to synthetic, rather than going to straight synthetic.
