Many years ago I found a leather welding jacket at a swap meet. It had full sleeves and the front went down to belt line or below. Turned out it was to small for me so I gave it to a friend who fit into it nicely.

I've been looking for another one in my size. I've Googled it to death. The closest I've come is this from Grainger:

This is close but I want the front to go below belt line so I don't get any hot steel down my pants.

Anyone know what I'm talking about and where I can find it?

EDIT:

WAIT; I LEFT OUT THAT I DON'T WANT ANY BACK. I ONLY WANT THE FRONT AND SLEEVES.

I'm not looking for your run-of-the-mill welding jacket. They are everywhere.

I use these Welding Sleaves. I love them, and use them always.

I am not a fan of jackets as i get hot to fast.

Yes i have weld burns all over my hairy chest.

Try wherever you buy your Welding Consumables.

If you don’t buy Welding Consumables, you probably don’t need Welding Leathers.

Know anybody with a sewing machine ? If you buy one that isn't leather, basically it's a cotton jacket, you can have them modify it to your desire.

Personally, I like a full jacket. If I have to crawl on the floor or under the car, I'm not getting dirty nor have a berry roll under me.

This is the jacket I have (along with a regular green one) and it fits nice with the waist straps. When it's time to replace, I will buy another.

Granted, I paid $40 at my LWS and not Cyberweld because I was getting a cylinder swap.. . . and the wife had shrank my green one.

You might have to buy a full leather jacket and cut the back off. I have only seen half leathers and full leathers.
I got rid of all my leathers ( too hot ) and use fabric ones instead.

To each their own, but I hate burning little holes in my T-shirts. I wear a jacket every time.

Personal preference for sure.

I have no holes in any of my shirts and I'm welding about once every other day or two.

Only at the fab shops I worked at did I wear a welding jacket but those fuckers get you real warm.
