Hello everyone. I just moved from Long Island to Saratoga. Only because of a promotion from the Belmont racetrack to Saratoga as my new position a mechanic. It so different up here but I love it. I've been doing mechanic work simce i was able to drive but for the last 8 months ive upgraded to payloaders and big equipment and I have to say I'm not half bad. The only thing is my boss wants me to get ASE certified and everyone I tried does not offer evening classes. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be amazing.
Thank you in advance.
Also I plan on buying a house in the next year or so and well a garage is one if my main concerns. I can't wait to be posting here more and more.

local community college nearby?

I took a bunch of ASE tests in Syracuse, at Onandaga community college which was hosting the ASE thing. Night tests after work, don't remember if I went to any classes, but im pretty sure they had some available.

ASE stuff is really user friendly as far as test and class times IMO, great for people with full time jobs, im sure theres something within a 45 minute radius of you that might work

Maybe BOCES might know how to get the certifications?
Or point you in the right direction for the area?

You don't need classes you need study guides. I got those when I gots my certs they are right on point, check out ase website and register then they will fill you email account up with all you need to know. I got certified for car and light truck for you I think you need heavy equipment, but yeah check out the ase website all the info is there.
