Where to get correct garage door bottom seal?

I am trying to replace the bottom seal on my 16' garage door. I went to Lowes and found what I thought was the correct seal. However, the damn thing will NOT slide down the aluminum track on the bottom of my door. After closer inspection, I see that the old seal actually has a half-moon shape to it and it slightly narrower.

My garage motor is Chamberlain Professional brand... I see no branding on the door itself. See the attached picture... the grey seal is my original seal, that fits great and slides into track great... the black is the one I got from Lowes that does not fit in my track (Frost King brand, I think).

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a seal similar to my original one?

I got one from Home Depot last year. IIRC, it was half moon like your original. Maybe try there?

Thanks, I'll check out Home Depot as well. I thought that they had the same brands for this stuff, but I can very much (as I often am, ask my wife :headscrat) be mistaken!

Yeah, a lot of times they do, but sometimes you get lucky. :)

I just replaced mine and couldn't find one locally. I finally found Scott at

http://www.garagedoorpartsupply.com/

I didn't know my manufacturer so I sent him a picture. He was able to identify what I needed and get it out to me. Offered free return shipping if it wasn't correct, despite being cut to length. The seal was perfect!

Great service and product thus far.

Thanks, Josh. Unfortunately, I just went ahead and bought a whole new aluminum channel and seal. At about $2 per foot, 17 foot of seal would have been $34 anyway... the new track was $40 at Home Depot and that came with a seal too.

Just an FYI if anyone searches this topic in the future: The Home Depot bottom seal looks nearly identical to the black Lowes one that is pictured above.
