Hi All! Hoping someone here can help me out with a roll-up garage door upgrade. We live n a VERY hot are (during the summer) and I would like to be able to work in my garage with the door closed, but it gets too stuffy and hot. I can put fans on but I would like to replace the static garage door windows with windows that actually open. A few years ago while on vacation in another state, I visited the home of a guy who actually had replaced the windows in his 16 foot wide, roll-up garage door with windows that actually opened. They had a little chain on them so they couldn't open all the way, and since they opened inward there wasn't any problem if he rolled the door up with the windows open. The windows he had in his roll-up garage door were commercially made (definitely not a DIY job) and really helped with ventilation. Now, Ii don't know if the guy replaced the individual windows with new window inserts, or if he replaced the whole garage door panel (with the windows in it), and of course I forgot to ask the guy where he got the. Since then, I have never been able to find anything on the internet for roll-up garage door windows that open.. Does anyone know who makes these kind of garage door?
