Rebuilding a 1200 sq ft garage, with new slab, etc. It will have an overall rustic look, so of a wood-look porcelain perimeter (maybe grey ash or light oak, nothing too dark) with a checkerboard/barbershop pattern for the 4 bays and lift area. Where do you all source PEI 5 tiles? Wayfare seems to list some, but most places online (and locally) don't even seem to list a PEI rating.

If it's of any help, since there's usually less variety of tiles with PEI of 5, I installed a PEI 4 ceramic tile and I dropped a transmission on it from about 3 to 4 inches high and it chipped it but it didn't crack the whole tile. It's noticeable but but even for being made of ceramic it's not that noticeable. So what I'm saying if you find a porcelain PEI 4 you like, you should be fine as far as strength unless you tend drop really heave stuff from high altitudes.

I just did PEI 5 rectified in my 3-car. I checked in with several local tile suppliers and found one that would work with me on price. I still ended up at about $3 per square foot. They began at over $5. But I selected the floor I wanted and would not swap out to a cheaper PEI 5 even when I found one. In the end that cost be about $1K more than it would have, but I got the floor I wanted.

Floor and Decor is fine if it's in stock in the local store, else they they charge a heavy "shipping and handling" fee for bringing it in.

buildirect.com has a few options. And free samples. Shipping is hit or miss in terms of cost. I've been quoted $65 (promotional) up to $1500 for 1700ft2 which is around 8-10K lbs. The issue I've had with them is availability of the tiles.
