Where to mount 2 Heat/AC units

Would appreciate your thoughts.
I live in Maryland.
700 square foot garage, and 700 sf Attic
When my garage is complete I will have a Heat/AC Wallmount unit in the Garage, and also the same unit in the Attic.
The Attic will be for staorage and a Game room.

I have (2) options on where to place these units.
For the Garage unit...the very back wall, centered. (outside wall faces west).
There are no windows along this wall. Gets lots of sun during the noon to 7 PM time frame.

Or do I place both units on the North Wall? This outside wall gets very little sun...as the sun sets in the evening.
One unit would be placed between (2) windows in the garage, centered, about 4 feet away from each window.

The Attic Unit would be placed in the 4 foot high kneewall, directly above the unit in the garage. A fan will be included in the attic, centered on the ceiling...to help distibute the air.

The workbench is located on the opposite Wall in the Garage.
I plan to place the Garage Heat/AC unit about 6' tall...so as to avoid the roof tops of the vehicles parked.

A 5' diameter fan will be attached to the ceiling.

AC guys tend to act like it doesn't matter, but I figure shade has gotta be good, no?

Shade is always better for AC. If esthetics aren't compromised put on the north wall.
