Hey Guys,
I just finished painting my "accent wall" (gray exterior semigloss). It used to be a horrible shade of brown (previous owner). It took multiple coats of primer to hide that. You can still see the exact shade of brown at the bottom where they painted the slab too.

I want to buy two of these:

I think I should mount them tight to the ceiling, but where along the wall is the best visually? My plan was to put a rolling tool chest under them.

Also, if it makes visual sense, I could put them down a few inches from the ceiling.

Thanks,
Drew

Well it looks like you have a door to the right side to consider, so I would say likely against one another, close to the left hand door.

There are other things to consider as well, like do you plan on putting a work bench there? Other storage, what are you using that space for exactly?

I was thinking of getting one of the rolling tool chests to put underneath. I guess I should figure that out for sure first.

Function first, appearence second. Put them where you can reach them AND with enough clear room to work on the rolling tool chest top or workbench.

I have the same cabinets that I bought a Sears a few years ago. FWIW here's how I have them set up.

You can build a soffit storage area in the space between the doors and have a bench with work area and more storage underneath, see my video link below, the bench provides hidden storage, it's homemade.
