Where to run ducts in basement?

I am finally getting a house that I can have a wood shop in the basement. I attached a rough drawing. I would like to go ahead and run the ducts so that I can put up drywall. However I don’t know where to start...

The shop is the area with the tools. The big square on the left is under the garage and not basement. Then a bathroom, office, and storage are. I would like the inside unit would go where the square behind the stairs is.

Can someone give me pointers on how to run the ducts or point me towards a source for planning a system.

Thanks!

If this is for HVAC (versus dust extraction), then I would go to the supply house where you plan on buying everything......... bring your plans, and let their expert help you calculate everything. That's what I did and it worked out great.

There are some very knowledgeable people on this forum, but you will have zero idea of who you're dealing with in this setting.

Good luck!

You do make a good point. Just trying to get an idea right now. And correct HVAC. I’m going to keep the dust collection outside of the Sheetrock.

To really do it "right" you'll need a Manual J calculation done, then a Manual D to design the ductwork.
