Looks like I will finally be able to buy a new air compressor in the new year. I had set my eyes on the Quincy QT-54 for a while now but while starting to look again I've come across Polar Air/EMAX silent air compressor line. Looking at the comparison below it looks like a no brainer to go with the Polar Air but I feel like I'm missing something here... My quick and dirty comparison below but the Polar Air has a bigger tank and higher CFM with a longer warranty to boot.
I'm still leaning towards the Quincy just for the name but a larger tank, longer warranty, and quieter operation is hard to look pass.
Quincy QT-54
Price: $1300
HP: 5
Tank Size: 60Gal
CFM @ 90cfm: 15.4
DB: 80
Warranty: 1 year (unless you buy a maintenance kit for $300 then 3 years)
Polar Air
Price: $1600
HP: 5
Tank Size: 80Gal
CFM @ 100cfm: 19
DB: 73
Warranty: 1 year (unless you buy a maintenance kit for $300 then 3 years)
