Makita.. sorry that's not on your list. But it should be.

Which one do you like?

I bought mine back in the late 1990's.. a 4-1/2". Back then they didn't have a bunch of them to choose from like they do now.

I had to replace the brushes once back around 2006 or 2007. It's pretty much my go-to-tool, they are just so handy. Really like using the Norton 20X flap discs.. but grinding wheels and knotted wire wheels are must haves also. For stripping paint the Rapid Strip discs are da bomb. I used those to strip the bed of my '65 C10 pickup.

Pretty sure if I was buying new it would be this one: 7.5 Amp Corded 4-1/2 in. Easy Wheel Change Compact Angle Grinder with Grinding Wheel, Wheel Guard, and Side Handle

I have a 4.5 bosch, the small 7amp model. It works good but the guard is adjusted with an allen wrench which is kind if a pain in the ***.
I also own a 4.5 paddle switch dewalt with the 11 amp motor. The added power over the bosch is welcome when bearing down on it, or running wire brushes.
The dewalt is definitely nicer with the tool lessential guard adjustment and bigger motor.
The last one I have is a 7 inch hilti. I purchased it because hilti has a great reputation and it was not really more expensive than others of its size. The build quality is outstanding, it has a soft start (nice for a grinder of its size)
The 7 inch grinder is turning out to be more useful than expected. When cutting, the speed and cut quality makes it nicer to use than the plasma or cutting torches I'm some situations (less cleanup, no need to setup/put away the plasma/torches)
The speed with which it takes down welds compared to smaller grinders also makes it very useful.
Honestly I wonder why I have not purchased one sooner and if I had to do it over, I think I would have gotten the 7" before a second 4.5".
I have used metabos before and while they are nice, it is hard to justify the extra expense for pretty marginal gains in performance

I was getting jealous of everyone's grinder and while cleaning out the basement, discovered I got one when I purchased a huge 20v Dewalt Cordless Tool set probably during Black Friday or some other deal. It was a huge score when I also discovered a brand new reciprocating saw which I was also pining for after trying to remove some old evergreens the previous homeowner decided to plant against the house.

I like the Fein, but don't get the cheapest one they offer. Would have preferred a Metabo, but since it wasn't for pro use I could not justify the higher price. Combine that with the recommendation about having multiple grinders and one can see some logic to get 2 different brands and/or models. Then based on that experience, make decision about what to get for your 3rd one. As in -

one for grinding

one for cut-off wheel

one for wirebrush
