Which circular saw: Skil 5150 or Bosch CS20?

I have a 5150 Skilsaw and I just found a Bosch CS20 in good shape for cheap that I'm thinking about upgrading to. Is one a significantly better saw than the other?

I want to use it for home projects and some furniture building projects. Should I just stick with the Skil?

The Skil is out of production. I would say the Bosch is a better saw, but only you know if it is worth buying. Never hurts to have a spare.

I have all Bosch tools, bought the CS10 and returned it, it was horrible. The CS20 is barely better. Bought the Makita and am MUCH happier.

I'd stick with the Skil if you don't have issues with it. The new Skil 5408 is 1/2 the price of the Bosch and is even better than it.

Not sure why their cheaper brand has better circular saws than their $$ brand, but Bosch's circular saw offerings *****. Actually I shouldn't say that, I have a Bosch cordless and it's fine.

Skil cut their teeth making circular saws. I don't think they'd let that part of the brand die so easily.

Bosch is probably my favorite power tool maker, but if I was buying a sidewinder circular saw, I'd look just about anywhere else. I am decidedly NOT a DeWalt guy, but their sidewinder with the brake (DW364K, maybe?) would probably be my choice.

Bosch would be in the running for a worm drive, though.

Hmm. Well, I bought the Bosch for $20 before I saw these replies. It seems pretty decent and it was in great condition. Guess I will have to use both of them for a while to be sure.

What didn't you like about it?

Its nice to have two saws when cutting multiple bevels. So you dont have to keep resetting one saw.
Good buy at $20.
