Which coating for new concrete floor

So I'm almost done with the drywall in my new shop and I'm looking at the possibility of covering the bare concrete floor. The slab was poured in March and the contrator used a product called Rez-Seal from Euclid Chemical. The information I could find online says that this is an "acrylic polymer curing and sealing compound." The coating they put down using a squeegee has apparently now soaked into the concrete.

My end goal for this shop is just to be a hobby shop. It'll be a bit of woodworking, some fly tying, mirror making, etc. Nothing too bad. But as I've worked on the interior (adding lights, drywall, and wiring) I've noticed that getting that floor clean is much more difficult than I expected. I can never seem to get all the dust up.

So my question is, what would be a good product to coat the floor so that I can sweep it and keep it clean? Based on what I've read, it seems epoxy might be the answer but it does seem like a lot of guys that go that route are using their shops for things that are pretty rough on a floor. I just need it to be easier to sweep clean.

Thanks for any advice you could give.

I would start here: http://euclidchemical.com/fileshare/ProductFiles/TechData/Rez_Seal.pdf

Depending on what you end up doing the removal instructions may be important. Likely you are going to end up grinding but again I would start with their PDF and maybe give them a call to see if they have a suggestion for you.

Otherwise grind it and go back with an epoxy or urethane system.

That's what I was afraid of. I had read that pdf and saw the removal instructions outlined there. That might be above my skillset so perhaps I'll just learn to cope with the dust.

Thanks for the input.

You may not need to. You really need to give there tech dept a call. If its just dust you are worried about, they may be able to give you instructions on putting a coat on top with one of their products. The concrete is not soft/easily scored is it?

Hi
Our Spray Floor Sealer should be able to bond to this. Sprays on with a garden sprayer. We strongly suggest getting a small sample from us for testing. Lightly sand the surface first then vacuum and then spray on two coats.
