Ok, got some metal cabinets and I am going to paint them with Rustoleum using the process defined on this thread

Anyone ever done this or anything similar before that can let me know how it turned out for them?
So, what color should I use? Options as I see it are Regal Red, Royal Blue, Dark Gray, or Aluminum.

I am leaning towards the blue or red. Red because of the look I am going for is the Venicia cabinets from kraftmaid. See here and click on the venicia link.

Picture of the red ones.

Blue because I think a ford themed garage blue and white could be fun.

Here are the colors rustoleum provides, thanks in advance for any input.http://rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=130

This is not helping as much as I had hoped :wtf:

Well, looks like I just have to pull the trigger on one color and hope it looks good.

Thanks for all the replys.

I vote for blue. For me, too much red in an environment makes me edgy, and I prefer a relaxing, muted set of colors instead.

Between those two choices I'd go with the blue. The red is done alot especially since many toolboxes are red.

I do like the green on the rustoleum site if you were to consider other colors.

I'm painting my vintage 50's metal cabinets with Rustoleum Blue. Can't remember the name but it's dark. They are coming out very nice!

Ok, I checked. It's called navy blue. I'm using rattle cans however which will increase the cost over the foam roller technique.

Thanks for everyone's input, especially those with the pics and personal experience. Stricht8 how are you finding the spray cans to work with? Also send pics soon!

Spray cans work fine as long as you apply the paint in nice uniform consistent overlapping strokes. I wet dry sand after every few coats and then leave the final coat unsanded. I broke my digital camera so it might be a while before pics.
