Which De Walt kit is the better choice?

I recently purchased the De Walt 20 volt pruner and mini chain saw. I have been able until now holding back on adding to my drill and impact driver collection, but having the 20 volt batteries and seeing some of the deals being offered currently on drill and driver kits are just to tempting. Lowes offers this one and Ace hardware has this kit at the same price. Both have two batteries and a charger, both are brushless, the specs are pretty similar. These would be for home use, so nothing rugged or abusive.

Looking for some guidance as to which of these would be a better choice.

It's a but of retail tomfoolery. The products are very comparable in terms of specs but the Lowes versions are Lowes "exclusives". Interestingly, I thought the atomic models were exclusive to Home depot but somehow Ace is selling them.

Anyway, it kinda comes down to do you want the more compact drill, or the more compact impact driver? Personally, I would choose the Atomic drill. It's tiny, and sometimes that comes in handy. The Lowes impact is slimmer but not much shorter axially, which is probably the more important dimension.

Edit: Confirmed that the length spec on both impact drivers is 5.1 inches, so same length. Also same torque rating but the Lowes version has a slightly higher max rpm at 3,200 vs 2,800. I would personally go with the Ace Kit.

Lowe's has DCD794 drill/driver and DCF809 impact.

Ace has DCD793 drill/driver and DCF840 impact.

Both drill/drivers are Gen2 Atomic although the DCD793 is in the older body.

DCF840 is newer and has more impacts per second and is slightly slimmer. DCD809 is the older gen impact.

As GeoBruin suggested, I would also go with the Ace kit.

Thanks for the input and opinions guys, I picked up the kit from Ace this morning and tried them out this afternoon, really nice tools, I like the size and weight compared to the other drills and drivers I already owned. I had some nice heavy duty hooks and used them to hang the previously purchased De Walt pruner and small chain saw on a wall under the shelf that holds all of my charging stations for my cordless tools. It worked out well as there was enough clearance between the tools hanging and an open drawer on my Lista cabinet. I have contacted the guy that takes care of my pool and he is going to drop off a piece of 3" pvc pipe that I will use to hold the drill and impact driver, these will hand from the bottom of the charger shelf right next to the pair on Bosch and Makita drill drivers I already own.
