I am running mine long ways in my 50x30. Will be hanging them in a few weeks. I have 7 rows running the 50' length. Within each row I wired up via outlets so that I can run 2-4 lights in any given row across the 30'. I staggered some of my ceiling outlets as to spread out the light more. If need be. Plan on using 17 to 21 lights in total. Going to wire up 17 and see how brite it is, first.

I put outlets in my ceiling so I can move lights pretty much anywhere I need them. Got that suggestions from some good guys on this site!

I have bought t8, 4', 4 bulb fixtures. I only have 9' of ceiling though.

I just put lights in my garage. I ran them across. If I had it to do over I would run them long ways with the cars. You get less shadows on the side of the car that way. It was just easier for me to hang mine the way I did. Go the extra and do them long ways you'll be glad you did. MY .02

Here is how I ran them. My electrician suggested running them the length of the garage/cars.
