One Rockwell 15-655 sold while typed this
A 17" Craftsman
2 Dayton 20" models

Used for drilling holes in wood and metal and since it's my first drill press maybe other stuff as I use it

Right now I think the Daytons are too big for me so I leaning Craftsman

Sooooo, if the Daytons are too big for you, what's the decision between these choices? I personally have a 17" Delta 3/4 HP and it's fine for me, but of course bigger is better, and...

If you're drilling holes in metal, you'll want more than one option under 500rpm. If it goes that slow and spins true, it'll work.

That extra 5” of throat depth is worth thinking it’s too big for you. Plus Dayton makes a decent product

I wanted the Rockwell and was wrong about the craftsman...it's 15 model made in Taiwan in 1985 or so. For $120 I figure it will a breakeven type first drill press.
