Any out there you really swear by?
Is there a Milwaukee one that works with my 18V 2.0 batteries?

I have the Milwaukee M12 hand vac. It works well for what it's designed for and has a pretty big bin for holding dirt. It's not a shop vac, but for quick pick up it works great.

I use the 12 volt Bosch one. Usually keep it in my work truck so I can clean it up whenever I get some downtime

I have a Craftsman (actually B&D) vac that uses VersaPak batteries. It looks exactly like the original DustBuster and it still works great ! The original NiCad batteries died a long time ago. Using NiMh replacements now.

I have a B&D screwdriver that also uses VersPak batteries. Slow, but lots of torque.

Several years ago I was desperate for a cordless hand vac and didn't have time or money to shop for a good one. I went to Home Despot and got one of the cheapo Black n Decker models ( 9.6 volt wet/dry). Didn't expect it to last more than a year or two.
It's still going strong.

I had the misfortune of hitting a turkey vulture with my windshield. After replacing the glass, I had to get a cordless Dirt Devil at a truck stop. I was pleased with the cleanup, and it's worked great ever since.

No, but an M18 DustBuster might actually **** in a good way. The M12 ***** in a bad way, save your $$. It works, just doesn't work well.

edit: oh, and to answer the thread title I use the M28 wet/dry vac. The M18 is basically identical and actually works with ALL Milwaukee 18V batts. But these are "boombox" style vacs not one-hand "dustbusters"

I have a Ryobi drill and the battery fits a bunch of different tools they sell. I have their version of a hand vacuum. It works great and is easy to empty. I just used it to clean up our deer camp a little bit last weekend.

I went with this very popular B&D 20V on sale for $58 today
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IOEFBKS/?tag=atomicindus08-20

I have this and the Blue 18V Ryobi mentioned in another post that I bought way back in 2002.

The B&D is excellent for a small mess, but one word of warning- avoid picking up metal shavings. Most get stuck in the disposable filter, but some slice through and hit the perforated filter frame and can shut down the motor pretty easily. There's also a rubber flap between the suction mouth and the filter that will become embedded with metal pieces as well and get stuck open, creating a loss of suction.

I've had two and B&D graciously replaced the first one that was under warranty, but failed to complete the start up cycle. It would just run over and over without opening up.

The Ryobi one is great for wood shaving/dirt/general debris. It also helps with pet hair.

I have the Makita for a few months now and love it. I had the dewalt 18v for years, and this Makita runs circles around the Dewalt 18v. I will be getting another one for the house next month. It also has the extension with it useful for the kitchen floor under the toe kicks (I can be standing up and use it on the floor), and such.
