Hello, it's my first post here and I'm sure this topic has been covered a million times but I just purchased my first house and want to redo the garage floor with more than likely an epoxy based material. I'd like to try and keep it under $500 for the materials or kit, I'd like it to be grey in color and either have a clear coat on top or a high gloss finish as well as I don't want to use the color chips, and am thinking I probably shouldn't have to as the concrete slab in the garage is only 3 years old. I live in the Seattle area and will be using the garage for working on my 65 fastback, however I don't foresee welding or doing anything crazy, just wrenching away/tinkering on the car. I'd also like something in a non slip form and that will hold up well. I was thinking about using epoxy-coat as I've heard pretty good reviews about their product, it isn't water based, 9.2mm thickness and lifetime warranty. If anyone on here has used it I'd love their opinions or if you have another product that is similar please let me know and pictures are always appreciated. Sorry for the lengthy post, thanks again!

Hi,
Be careful of a coating that doesn't use a primer or matched topcoat, lots of posts about this problem on the GJ. Also get a copy of the warranty of your materials choice to see what it actually covers. No vendor, to our knowledge offers a lifetime warranty on the entire floor.

Our ARMORCLAD 100% solids epoxy system runs about $1.00 per square foot for the kits. We offer a lifetime warranty against tire lifting which to our knowledge is comparable to other company's.

Thank you very much.

Epoxy-Coat teamed up with our Standard Epoxy Primer is a very popular combo.
