So I am closing on a house and garage this week. The Garage is a detached 32 x 32 garage and I want to redo the floor. My question is what should I go with? I have been looking at the epoxy's and this looks as though its going to be the cheapest route. I have also looked at the VCT tiles and the racedeck type flooring. What do you guys think is the best yet still not too $$$. It is like 1000 Sq Ft so cost is a factor. This garage is going to be my mechanic shop for my two race cars and will have a lift so I need something thats going to be durable and easy to clean up liquids (oil, coolant). Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Epoxy.
Add the flakes, it will help to hide incidental marks, scratches, etc...
Use a urethane clear topcoat for added protection.

You can't go wrong for the money and the longevity, plus you can sand and re-coat later if you want to refresh.

No brainer.

Good luck.
