ok,

I currently have a new in the box Lennox G60DF-36B-090 Furnace. Basically it is a 90k BTU Down Flow furnace at 80% efficiency. Here is my question. The area I am heating in my garage is basically 26x30x9. I have 2 choices, I can stay with what I have or I could sell it and purchase a (Mr. Heater, Hott Dawg, etc.) and then be able to power vent the unit. I guess I figured the more btu's the better, but after lots of reading it appears that a unit that is too big will wear out quicker and burn more propane. I guess what I want to know is what would you all do, any opinions?

Sidenote- Garage has chimney, but it currently has a Wood Burning Furnace attached, which I would like to keep for getting the garage crazy warm during get togethers and such.

Get a real unit heater like the HotDawg type. That downflow isn't ideal at all for a garage.

Size the BTU's for the garage size. Bigger won't necessarily wear out quicker or burn more propane, but it will short cycle meaning on and off in short bursts of time.
