Which jumper to chose?

I received two auto jumpers this past week. One is a Die Hard with 950 amps the other is 100 watt max jump.

Common sense leads me to believe that 950 amps is better than 100watt? Am I correct?

I mean like a battery jumper. The thing is I have a 350amp max jumper and it cannot jump our suv. I recently tried the 950amp one and it could not do it eaither. So what I do is charge it on a quick battery charger then it starts.

my dad recently gave me a 100watt jumper and it seems like it is heavier duty, but I thought the 950amp one would start the truck easily but it did not.

I assume they are used. The batteries probably need replaced. I would invest in a new one.

Note: you can't jump a junk battery, It has to have the ability to recover or recharge.

I gave up on those ******* things 2 years ago. Every time I needed to use the thing, the internal battery was shot. I think I killed 3 of them.

I just keep a deep cycle battery on a cheap hand cart with as set of cables. Been 100% happier.

Battery condition has nothing to do with jumping to get the vehicle started. You are just relying on a good connection between the two sources. If needed you can just hook a good source to the two cables without using a battery in the vehicle to be jump started.

I guess a simpler question is: which one is stronger 100watts or 950 amps?

It sounds like you're talking about two entirely different things here. Volts x amps = watts. At 12 volts, that would mean the 100 watt unit only has 8.3 amps, and it would mean the 950 amp unit has 11,400 watts power.

edit: it may be better to spend your money on the car - if it has a good battery and a good charging system, a jump box isn't needed.

Last Fall, I had to start my 215 Cat Excavator that hasn't been run in years because the batteries went bad. I hooked my JNC jumper pack and an older 12V battery together in series to the 2 dead batteries to get 24V and it fired right off. The dead batteries were 10 years old.
