Which Milwaukee Blower and Batteries?

I want to get my 5 year old a blower for Christmas. The toy one isn’t cutting it anymore. He has used the fuel version at a friends. I have Milwaukee but only the 5.0 batteries.

I am leaning towards the fuel unless anybody has a good reason to go with the original.

Also do I need to go ahead and get bigger batteries?

And last...any sales on these that I missed?

The Fuel pairs well with 9.0 batteries. The 5.0 will run about 10 minutes.

If it's only for your kid I agree on the Compact blower. I have the Full size Fuel & love it but it's kinda big for a 5 yr old. As said 5.0s don't run that long on it. I run at least a 9.0.

Thanks everybody. I went with the package deal above. I don’t want to get a 9.0 for him lol, and that means that I don’t have to give up one of my batteries.

I might use it occasionally, but I have a backpack for the real work.

I had the compact and really liked it for small jobs. Took it camping to sweep out the tent. My BIL saw it and used it on his RV porch carpet and had to have one. I used the attachments for inflating stuff and used it as a blower to clean the garage floor without dislodging stuff from everywhere. It is a real tool but not a leaf blower. I have a corded one and use it for bigger jobs. With my forest I am considering a 3 point attachment blower for my tractor rather than a backpack unit. I'm going to replace the compact blower that was stolen. They did not get the accessories so I'll have 2 sets. The nice thing about the compact one is it's size. I keep it in the back of the truck often and it comes in handy more than you would think. The price jumped considerably since I got mine so I'm watching for a deal. Hmm, It's black Friday, perhaps I should be on other websites today.

I use the compact blower several times a week and have been extremely pleased. It's not to move a forest, but I find it very handy and my 5 and 3 year old grandsons use it all the time
