Getting tired of using saw horse stands with 2x4's and/or plywood.

What brand do you like and why, for $125 or less ?

I don't use my DeWalt miter box enough for the highest priced types, but don't want a piece of **** either.

I have that same one steves_001 linked above. Honestly, getting one of these stands for my miter saw has been life changing, I can't believe Ive been cutting with that saw on the ground for all these years. Makes the saw so much more comfortable to use, and really assists in better cuts.

That Dewalt one is a bit more than your stated $125 but its been awesome for me, I HIGHLY recommend anyone with a miter saw to get a stand for it.

I like the DeWalt, secondly the Ridgid, still their $200. Even on sale I could see $170.

A Lady on our local Facebook had a brand new in box DeWalt and was selling it for $100 as she said her hubby was in jail,...lol, but when I wrote her again asking a question, it had sold !

Look at the ones at Harbor Freight. They look pretty decent, to me anyway.

Whatever you get, consider one you can get extra mount clamps for down the road. I got a couple extra pairs for mine and use it for my chop saw, framing miter saw, and trim miter saw I even thought of getting another pair to mount to some plywood for a portable bench top.

I have a Ryobi I use for my 12” DeWalt miter saw, I got it on sale for around $100. It’s not perfect but I bought additional brackets and also mount my abrasive chop saw and 12 1/2 Planer on it and it’s solid.
https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-U...42391?MERCH=REC-_-pipsem-_-NA-_-205642391-_-N

The DeWalt listed above is probably a good buy, but the Ryobi is steel, and is really stout. The leg design is stable and it works as good inside doing trim as it does outside building decks.

I would wait for the Rigid to go on sale again. I actually for 99.00 will buy 2 of them one for Miter saw and one for table saw. Then extra set of brackets for my planer.

Is that Ridgid MSUV always on sale for Black Friday? I've been eyeing it up a lot, but $250 here in Canada, and never see it on sale here.

Aquamach, I've seen many tables through the years, but they were too expensive and cheap in quality, but wow, the Keter Folding Work Table looks impressive and like how it folds up for storage.

A lot of the other's listed guys, are about the same, so it's hard to say which is better. The one's that are $200 are out.

I bought mine outside of black Friday for 100 a few years ago. Not sure when and how frequently it goes on sale.

That said, even at 200,it is a great stand. I have a huge 12" slider on it and it works perfectly. Saw is easily moved and can be folded out of the way. Nothing about it is compact, but that wasn't my priority.

If mine disappeared, I would buy another right away

Another option that can come in handy as more than just a miter stand if you are looking at ones without supports is the Rockwell jawhorse ($149) or equivalent from HF ($120). At least it could serve more than one purpose and not just take up space since you wouldn't use it often as a miter saw stand.

I went the JawHorse route for my miter saw stand. Saw stays on the shelf out fo the way and I fold the JawHorse up in a corner. The JH is really growing on me. You can hold all kinds of oddball shapes in the clamp and its great for wood carving, sanding, file work, etc.

Which JH did you go with ?
Sorry, it's their brand name. So, it does look nice and folds up well.

I have no experience with this other than looking at it in the store. That said, it looks like a quality stand.

Masterforce® Universal Folding Miter Saw Stand with Wheels at Menards
https://www.menards.com/main/p-1444436621656.htm

What I really like about it is the fact you can add varying accessories

Honestly buddy, I don't buy anything at Menards ****, unless it's a national brand. I'd rather buy from Harbor Freight.

But, I'll go check it out anyway. No,...disrespect my friend.

I also like the WORX Pegasus Multi-Function Work Table and Sawhorse with Quick Clamps and Holding Pegs – WX051

No it does not - Think sawhorse with mounting brackets for your saw.

That Masterforce brand miter saw stand that Parrothead linked above is well designed and built. It's an especially good deal when purchased while the Menards 11% rebate program is in effect.

Even the "lesser" Toolshop brand miter saw stand that Menards discontinued a few years ago was very good. I have one, and it's performed beyond every expectation I had for it. While it doesn't have wheels, it's otherwise fully-featured, well constructed, and extremely stable. Also, it was a terrific bargain on closeout for $25. In retrospect, I should have purchased every unit they had remaining in stock at the time.

Home Depot's MSUV. Got mine half price quite some years ago - $100 I think. Loaded my DeWalt 12" sliding beveler and -- it's a miracle!! Folded, wheel it around like a two-wheeler, even up/down stairs. Sets up in about a minute and a half.
Got the DeWalt half price too because it just predated the ones with the laser. If memory serves, it was $700 regularly and I just couldn't justify it. But, for $350 I just couldn't pass it up!

Just received a email from Harbor Freight. If I or anyone wants a bit larger stand, this actually looks pretty nice. 4.5 stars from 2,121 owners.

I don't know if I want to store it in my single stall garage ? :headscrat
I sure wish I had this one when I built my deck. I just used two wooden saw horses.

After watching this video of a owner review, I really like it and might pick one up being on sale. You'll see how he used the roller as a bump stop for repeat cutting.

On sale for $100.

Sounding like a broken record, but the ridgid does not require you to lift any weight to deploy or fold the stand. With a heavy saw, this can be extremely helpful.

Press a lever with your foot and push the handles down to deploy. Pops right into place.

I've had this stand for a couple years, it's solid and works great for me, the only negative is that it takes up a good bit of space when stored.

I also picked up a Protocol stand: https://www.zoro.com/protocol-miter...MN-nu0voz3IntHeAXKoc-QvUDIqmElt0aAk1XEALw_wcB

That one looks to be a clone of the nicer Masterforce one Menards sells https://www.menards.com/main/tools/...6857146263.htm?tid=1268222610341190140&ipos=2

With the two stands next to eachother the Harbor Freight one feels a bit more heavy duty, but the protocol/masterforce one has more features and additional tool mounting brackets and accessories are available for it at Menards. Really can't go wrong either way as both are more than enough to do the job.

If you're in the Chicago or Milwaukee area I'll probably be selling one of mine, send me a PM if you are interested.

Well, after a lot of researching on the net and you guys, I'm buying the Protolcol from Zero, same as above. It looks very strong and high quality. $103.70, shipped. Amazon has used one's for more than that, some up to $170.

When it arrives, I'll unbox, mount my saw, test it out and let you know my thoughts.

I am getting the Rigid, it has been one of the best reviewed for a long time now. I will buy it now on my Home Depot card and return / rebuy Black Friday when it hits 99.00 again. I may even get 2 ;)
