Which one should I buy?

Gentlemen,

I came across these two made in India 8" vises which have the same opening (9") and weight (around 96 lb). However, the green one has a bronze nut and a single slide whereas the blue one has a steel nut and a double slide. The blue costs 5% more than the green one. I like the vintage look of the green vise, but the blue one looks sturdier.

What do you think? I am in a dilemma and would really appreciate your help in making a decision. Thanks in advance.

If I am limited to the two choices, I think I would go with the blue one, you said it looks sturdier, has a double slide vs. a single and a steel nut vs. bronze.

The 5% price difference would not be a consideration for me.

green looks like it has a swivel base but no anvil, which to me is of little use anyway. I would probably go green...even though here in MI, the green vs. blue debate can get you into lots of trouble (college football thing...)LOL

Yes, green looks prettier (although I wouldn't know about the football in MI)

Ordered the blue one today (my heart said green, but the mind said blue). Maybe when I become a vise collector in future, I will add the green one to my collection. Will post a picture of the vise when it arrives.
