Which plier handle style do you prefer?

I'm always curious as I see many different style handles being offered. My preference is dipped grip (i.e. Channellock style). I see more companies that appear to be shifting towards the chunky handles. I'm not basing your opinions on any future purchases, just curious as to the reasoning behind your preference.

Which handle do you prefer, and why?

If I'm going to be squeezing or pushing it hard, then chunky for less hand pressure.

If it's smaller than 180mm, usually non-chunky to avoid having a disproportionately bulky tool relative to its capability. Unless it's a 160mm single function cutter (see previous point).

If storage space (e.g. box, pouch) is a concern, then non-chunky. Especially if it's not a frequently used tool; it needs to justify its space.

Vinyl dipped because they are easier to clean and take up less space.

I truly, vehemently, and entirely loathe, detest, and abhor the nasty-*** chonky rubber and plastic greebly handles infesting so many pliers. It just gets in the damn way far too often, and most soak up whatever fluids and contaminants are in your work area.

Knipex, Tsunoda, and HF's Doyle vinyl dipped are perfect.

HF's "foamy" vinyl on their Icon pliers is edging into dangerous territory with me, but the pliers are otherwise fantastic.

This is all personal preference of course; someone's buying all that rubber and plastic shite, but it sure ain't me. Yukko.

I like the "puffy" textured grips.

dipped, although I don't mind textured. chunky ones usually slip/tear/fall off/etc.
