They don't ratchet or lock properly, they don't return properly they're stiff to operate, there is a lot of slack in the cable, the quality leaves a lot to be desired.

They're just not very good, overall. I bought them because i wasn't aware of their level of suckage and i wanted to bump an order into free shipping territory.


If there is a lot of slack in the cable and they are the same as the Astro's pictured you can adjust the cable.

There must be some advantage to having the spreaders at a right angle as opposed to being straight like the C-man and Snap-on versions. Hmm... :headscrat

This is just my personal opinion but, I feel that with the straight jaws the handles are wider apart when fully released. The pairs that I have with the 90 degree jaws seem easier to grasp and compress but, that's just me. Decisions, Decisions,:headscrat
It would probably take 6 months to a year before Tooltopia or other online vendors have them at a decent price.:beer:
