I work in the flooring business and I just can't personally decide on a standard red and black checkerboard pattern using VCT and sealing it or to spend a little more money and get the Decoria LVT black and white checkerboard. This product is a commercially rated product with a static load limit of 1500 psi and the chair castor stability is excellent along with its chemical resistance. It costs in the neighborhood of $3.00 for material using the same adhesive as VCT essentially. It comes in 18"x18" tiles instead of 12" x 12". VCT tile only has a static load limit of somewhere in the neighborhood of 250-450psi, but seems very suitable for a garage and very inexpensive. More in the $0.50 to $0.75 sq ft range and is more readily available. Any suggestions?? I've pretty much narrowed it down to the two and I'm leaning towards the Decoria just because it seems a little more durable, but I don't know if it worth the extra money.
