which replacement remote do I get

I'm trying to get a new opener for my Craftsman Garage door opener. Its from 2012 and the learn button is "grey". All the replacement openers I see are for other colors; green, purple yellow and red. How do I know which one to get for my grey learn button?

Or your old remote?

This shows it to be almost 30 years old.

try checking the manufacture date and go based on what the others manufactured in that date.
