I am remodeling the basement and will be removing the paint that is on the basement floor. We replaced the interior drain tile so there is a strip of new concrete around the exterior of the floor. The house was built in 1952 and we have never had any water come through the slab, only at the exterior walls. I have had poor luck with simple stains or sealers and want something that will penetrate the surface. What type of sealed should I use? We will not tint or color the slab in any way but would prefer a low sheen finish if possible.
