I have a Tekton 3/8" socket set that I keep under the seat in my truck. 6 point shallow & deep sockets, metric 8-19mm & imperial 5/16"-3/4", two extensions, a swivel joint, & 72 tooth ratchet. I really only wanted metric but it was the best set I liked that I could find at the time.

Most important was no skipped sizes (it does skip 11/32" but again I didn't care about the imperial), good case with good latches and hinges that will last, & inexpensive but decent quality. Only thing I don't like about it is the direction lever on the ratchet is backwards but I'm not using this daily so I can live with that. It was $40 shipped.

Looks like they don't make that set anymore but there's an updated one that now includes the 11/32" sockets & a 90 tooth ratchet but it costs $67 now, well on Amazon.
