I need to find the thinnest walled 15/16th socket I can find. Deep or shallow doesn't matter..

Anyone know of which brand to check first?

Thanks

Make your own! Take a socket to a bench grinder for about two minutes, you will have a socket with thinner walls than anything at a store.

Get an old Craftsman from the '60's. Some of those were super thin - 1/2 drive, deep well, full length broaching. Almost scary thin, especially compared to modern "thin wall" impact sockets.

Bluepoint flip sockets are thinner than snap-on, comparing thin wall type sockets, not regular sockets, although snapon is thicker in those too.

Few years ago I required a thin wall socket to remove a 15/16" recessed hex nut from 48 electrical cabinet. The only one suitable was from this ampro set
T45981. This is a go-thru spline drive socket suitable for 15/16" or 24mm & unfortunately it was not available loose.

This one measured 31.6mm. My 24mm Metabo-Rheidco and Gedore sockets measure 32.7mm & 32.5mm.

Thanks for the suggestions...I should have thought about grinding one down. I'll go ahead and sacrifice one and turn the end down on my lathe..

Thanks
