I have been using my Eastwood TIG 200 for about 4 years now and absolutely love it...my one huge gripe about it, is the cheaply made torch hose that it comes it. it has the fabric woven exterior, that when flexed or rubbed against something, it easily starts to separate. I have ripped 3 of them so far and have just been getting them replaced under warranty from Eastwood. now that my 3 year warranty is up, I want to find a better quality hose that will last me significantly longer.

this is about the only one I have found that I feel will take a pretty good beating and keep on going, however I fear that it will be too heavy and not as easy to flex, like what people see in the PVC air hoses instead of the rubber ones

Guy, look at a place like cyberweld, IOC, or other online welding sites. There is a sheath so to speak that you can wrap around the hose to prevent rubbing or chaffing. It should be cheaper than a new hose and you still get to keep the torch you have now that you seem to like.

Get something from CK. You might want a cover if you are that hard on them. The cheapo you linked on ebay is not going to be very enjoyable to use.

Just looked at your link. That would just be a hose to extend the hose you have on your torch. Can you post up the part that is rubbing on your setup? That might help us figure out which part you are needing to replace.

I already have a sheath that goes around my hose. the biggest problem is when the hose flexes too much and starts to split. it starts to leak gas every time I hit the pedal...I'm cycling through all of those sites right now

Ok, I think I understand you now. I think a better quality hose might be in the cards. I would go to your local welding supply and look at the hoses they have on hand. That will give you an idea as to what you need.

I found USAweld has their superflex hose in 12' and 25', specifically for the TIG 200, but only with the torch included. so I sent them an email about pricing without the torch

I have it on my CK 20 size torch (water cooled, so three hoses, but altogether lighter than your one gas hose). There's nothing better out there.

well, USA Weld finally got back to me and they won't sell me the hose separately, so I'd have another torch, which I don't need...gonna search a little more before pulling the trigger

I have weld tec torch hoses. 2 air cooled ones and 2 watercooled ones. All very durable and high quality. Just go to your LWS and they should be able to get whatever you need.
