The one thing I would never buy from them because I feel APEX is better is bits for the SO ratcheting screw drivers. Not to say snapon is bad(I even doubt they make there own bits), but I feel APEX for the money is better. I know a lot of people and places where money is no object, all use APEX!!!!

Ball pien hammers. There is no way anyone will convince me the metal is tougher or more durable than a Craftsman, or that the handle is going to last longer.

Most pliers--again, any quality USA made pliers is going to do the job the same way.

I just can't see spending three times the money over another USA brand. I'm very pleased with all of my Craftsman Professional-series ratchets.

Drill bits-- I doubt Snap-on is the manufacturer of these, so I'm not going to buy an expensive box with the name stamped in it to store someone else's bits.

Die grinder, pneumatic angle grinder, etc. I could buy a new cheap one every year for 20 years, and still be money ahead.

Vise, engine stand, air compressor, welder, etc. Paying for the name, not the actual product.

Wrenches--I write for car magazines for a living, and do a good bit of tech work... I don't have a wrench in my hand as often as a service pro does, but it's a lot more than the average enthusiast. I can't justify the price. If I used them day-in/day-out, perhaps, but even then I'm not sure.

I will not buy any of their welders. Which are mostly made by Century. Not that there is anything wrong with century. But snapon welders are marketed as the best, which they are not. They are trying to push a mediocre product with a premium price tag. No snapon welder could hold candle to a Miller,Hobart,Lincoln or Esab.

Punches and chisels. They wear to easily (regardless of brand) and so I buy the cheapest ones to either discard or grind down when needed.

Since people are talking about the drill bits, who makes them for Snap-on. I just ran into a set in good condition and want to se if the asking price the guy has for them is worth it.
