Back in the day I had a handy little B&D power screwdriver. It was great for tedious tasks like cover plates on outlets and light switches. Low torque, fine thread stuff. NiCad battery I think.

I've plowed through the Vessel offerings but I'm still confused as to the best choice for my application. I've got an impact driver for driving lags and a nice Makita for drilling and heavier driving. The Vessel would be just for light weight handyman jobs.

I have the low as well because I'd rather have the torque than speed. However, for a few bucks more the 3-speed Vessel (220USB-P1) lets you choose the standard low and high, plus medium.

For electrical boxes, the last thing you want is torque. Electrical boxes now use dried-up bubble gum instead of steel.

The three speed doesn’t have a gearbox, so the high speed has max torque while the slow speed has the lowest torque. All the models are low torque, with my slow speed model topping out about 4 foot-pounds.

The 220USB-P1 is the Japanese version that takes the longer shank bits. For a model with similar functionality/features but that accepts western style bits, you want the 220USB-P5U
