Is it me or are all three of these sites just terrible? Mac has no content. Matco is just a bunch of glossy marketing BS. SnapOn has dinky little pics.

Which one is the worst?

MAC is the worst website followed by MATCO.

Snap-on is the best website because you can access ALL their products from their site. They also have that excellent parts catalog too. And as far as websites go in general, if I can't use my size 20 fonts without getting overlaps, I get very annoyed.

I voted for MAC, but Cornwell and Armstrong are also terrible.

For me Matco is the worst, I only own 10 Mac tools so I don't visit their website often. SO site is the better of the two for me but the missing pictures is what drives me crazy.

They pretty much have everything on their site that's in their printed catalog ... MAC and MATCO don't even come close.

I find the Snap-On site, useful and I have been ordering repair parts online, free shipping and I don't have to interface with my local dealer, YAY! He never comes around anyway! :)

Mac has nothing listed, and half of what they do have are listed without prices. I hate how Snap-On has everything lumped together pretty much, and when you do get specific they only show 5 items per page, in no logical order. Cornwell lists no prices, and no online buying. I have been to the Matco site a few times, and don't mind it. I do have to say even as a Mac fan, that their website is downright terrible.

While the SO isn't the greatest and could do with more frequent updates, at least they have some info on there. MAC has nothing but a pic for most stuff... I wish all three of these guys would invest a bit less in their fancy $30k box builders and a bit more in the rest of the site...

The Mac website may **** but, one thing they have going for them over the others is that, they post their monthly flyer of specials and you can call the customer service number and order from the flyer at the sale price if you want. The recently updated Cornwell site allows you to view the current monthly sales flyer but, you can't order online or on the phone from them.

Yeah, but the prices on the SK website make you think you're looking at Snap on.:wtf:

When I'm looking up what tools list for so I can price my stuff, SO is the best. I rate Mac above Matco but haven't looked up much Matco, so I might change my mind.

They're all bad, just in different ways.

I don't like the format of the retailers of German tools out here because those are as bad as the sites we're listing here, and sometimes worse. At least the manufacturers nearly all offer .pdf's to match up on another screen (unless you have GridVista and have joined windows ;) )

In my limited experience MAC was the worst I tried to find a handle for a door skin hammer I bought off ebay. Absolutely could not find one I had to call them. Service was excellent on the phone

Best tool website I have found yet. I spent an hour drooling yesterday (German tools make me drool). For not having enormous images, the images they use are just right.

I wish other manufacturers would take notes... and get it right for once.

Never comes around anyway ? I'm watching the obits for the Snap-on guy in my area. Guess if I wanted to make a 10k order , he would be breaking down my door ! :wtf: Nice thing about Craftsman,at least I can find them.........

Oh yea,Snap-on has the best site IMO.
