About 18 months ago I bought a Millermatic 180. Its perfect for my needs and I have no complaints.
Today I picked up a 125lb Argon tank from a yard sale and promptly traded it in for steel mix tank at the local weld supply shop. Now this is more gas than I will use in the next few years but it was a great deal and he threw in a regulator with the tank and a dolly all for $125.
The regulator I got with my Miller is a Smith dual gauge as I am sure you have all seen before or could Google real quick. The gauge that came with the tank is a Linde R-5007. Its more what I am use to seeing on the big welding rigs on my plant floor or in the fab area. I checked the regulator and everything for leaks before buying and all is well there but its probably 10 years old now or maybe 12.
So now that I have the two which should I use? If I go with the Linde I could probably sell off the Smith for a few bucks to recoup what I have into the tank. The Smith is new and I can't really get much from the Linde from what I can find on eBay and what not.
