How is a 14 wire sufficient? The specs are...230V, 25 A, 60 HZ , single phase and 120V, 20A, 60 HZ, single phase!

How long of a run are you putting in? Personally I'd put in a 40 or 50 amp with 8AWG, that way you would have some growth room if say you bought an older tig welder. It wouldn't be much more up front.

The outlet will only be 4' from the panel and on it's own circuit.
I may breakdown and order an extension cord for it from Miller.

At that short of a run I'd go ahead and put in the 40 or 50amp breaker as long as your panel will take it. The upfront cost increase will be minimal compared to the potential your shop will gain. Check ebay and miller vs making your own cord out of 10/3. The premade ones sometimes are just as cheap, and the molded on ends are nice compared to the box and receptical route.

Jeep51, congrats on your new welder. I would get a real bottle of gas and have that little one for back up. It's a proven fact that the only time you run out of welding gas is on the weekends after the welding supply shops are closed.

The price per ft^3 of gas goes down as the volume of the tank goes up. Figure the foot print of a bottle isn't that much different and it is about the same work to evacuate and purge for the new fill. Hence the smaller bottles are not quite as cost effective per fill. For the home user on a mig a ~125cf is about an ideal portability/price break point. The large tanks get to be a pain to transport. Especially if you plan on using that machine away from the shop on a 120v input.

Nice welder! What size bottle is that?

Looks like an 80cf.

Anyone use the Lincoln MP 210?

I'm looking to upgrade, n was favoring the MP210, but with the rebates & free spool gun from Miller, I'm looking at the Miller again, if Zoro has another 30% sale..

I have been extremely happy with the Miller 211!! No issues and the welds look great! I haven't messed around with the autoset function much.
