lol, thats a lot of misinformation. you can build a car frame with a 110v unit
what do you build frames out of? 1/4" steel? LOL there has been many frames build with a simple 110v mig welders.

i myself would go with TIG. i love mine :D

Well, that depends on the frame, really. There's quite a bit of 1/4" and some 3/8" steel brackets on the frame I'm doing. The spring perches, and shock mounts are also 1/4" plate, as are the transmission and transfer case mounts.

1/4" is pretty much maxed out for my HH175. If it's anything more, I do triple pass and bevel well.

Personally, if somebody has to run wire either way, I think it's dumb to limit yourself to a 110v welder. I'm glad the OP didn't.

Haven't been on in awhile cuz I have been messing around with my new welder. I picked up the Millermatic 212. Perfect. Just wanted to thank everyone that gave their input on all my questions and opinions. Thanks alot everyone. But I promise there will be more questions. ha ha
