The guy after that acted like he was doing you a favor letting you come on his truck

I've ran into those types too. Myself, I refused to step on the truck; I used to hand them the money through the doorway and retrieve my tools that way.

their selection is a little lean in some areas and they only manufacture some of their hardline.

They quit making their own screwdrivers for some strange reason. :dunno:

Get their card and call them ahead of time, this will ease them. They get robbed all the time.
Wiha makes the screwdrivers for them and matco, and I do not care for them.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Proto in all of this. How do they compare? I've been looking at them to replace my Craftsman raised panels, but it certainly would be easier to just go to Sears and pick up some Craftsman Pros if they are decent.

Proto makes some nice wrenches. They're a little longer than a standard length wrench but, not as long as everyone else's long wrenches. I find them to be a little on the expensive side even in Ebay land. Then there's that whole Stanley/Mac/Proto where's it actually made deal but, I think Proto is still US made. It's all about what feels good in your hand, how you feel using it, and if you can afford it. Everybody has their favorites.

Please forgive me for correcting you sir, but they are made by WITTE; the other German screwdriver company.

I don't like them either; or at least the ones with holes through the handles. Who ever came up with the idea of having holes through a screwdriver handle doesn't turn screwdrivers for a living.
