All about supporting USA made product. Reading their bio though, I don't get the feeling all of it is produced here in this country. Maybe I'm reading this wrong. Hope so.

Agreed. Nowhere on the site does it say "Made in the USA". The lift manufacturers that do manufacture in the USA have it plastered everywhere.

An asset of Dover Corporation with "worldwide solutions" . They have manufacturing in many and of all places......China. This series of lifts looks like many other rebranded series of lifts. They probably all come out of the same factory with different paint and stickers specified.

Made in the US of A lifts

Interesting tidbit about the American Lift Institute (ALI) http://www.autolift.org/buyer_beware.htm

USA made lifts with Chinese components or Chinese lifts

And a list of different brands of lifts with pricing. Just doing a search on the Whip Lift and decided to post up some other American made lifts and such. Not to hijack but just thought some might be interested.I know a lift is in my future, now it's just deciding. But with my ceiling configuration and funds, it just may be a MaxJack. :headscrat

I personally have used the 10k lift from whip in a proffesional setting for 2 years while working for a good friend of mine.....Absolutley nothing wrong with them, he has used them for 10 years plus, and just installed the new one 3 years ago never a lick of problems.....

I was looking at one for my home garage, but need a lift without the upper bar for my application....

I happen to be a proud seller in Ontario, Canada for both the MOHAWK lift as well as the WHIP Lift.

Not only are the WHIP lifts manufactured in the USA but they also happen to be the ONLY UL approved lift as wellas the only lift certified by the CWB, which stands for the Canadian Welding Bureau which just happens to be of the highest welding standard. Yes, the chains like pretty much all chain manufactured comes from China, and the cylinders are made in canada. Now, it gets interesting, the price that many people pay for an inferior offshore product (China/Asia) is on the rise, but if you want an incredible, well made USA lift, then WHIP is your only alternative. If you are looking for the best of the best then try MOHAWK, anyone who thinks MOHAWK isn't the best just doesn't know lifts or sells Asian lifts.

Sounds like a bad attempt at shameless self-plugging. First of all, WHIP lifts have stickers that say "Evaluated to ALI standards" or some such ridiculousness, meaning two things:
A. it wasn't good enough to be CERTIFIED by ALI, which is sanctioned by the US government
B. Above is probably WHY it is in the CWB, which is the first time I've even heard of that organization as well as a lift being "certified" by them. Also contradicts the sticker placed right on the sucker.

not to mention that you totally contradict yourself by claiming USA Manufactured and follow up by saying "well MOST of it is manufactured here but then "some parts are foreign" right after. If you're a "seller", your pitch is pretty weak and in fact counter-acts me from wanting to ever buy one. Thank you for saving me the trouble of ever having to make that horrible, horrible decision. :]

Do you read what you type?

So WHIP is the ONLY alternative for a USA made lift? Yet the chains are from china, and cylinders from canada? And what does a Canadian welding standard have to do with a USA made lift, that's not helping keep the money/jobs in the USA. Just like BYB claiming 100% USA made lifts, yet they use 'north american steel' (canada/mexico), that's not keeping it 100% sourced or keeping all the money in the USA for the production.

Yeah, Mohawk is a fantastic product, and you sell them............
