White floors/walls in garage

I like a bright workspace. However I've seen some posts here disparaging light colored floors+ walls.

Any feedback on cons?

I'm looking to do the same.
White floors/ceilings and a two tone White/Gray and a stripe to break it up a bit.

Most of the comments seem to be keeping a white floor clean.

I haven't lived with a white floor everyday but like a black car they look great when they are clean...

My oversized triple (32x40x16) is fully drywalled and painted white. I love it. It is lit by only three long double flourescent fixtures on the ceiling, and I don't find a need for more light. The floor is unfinished concrete.

White floors and walls are just "asking for it". Unless you're a clean freak and can dedicate your time to cleaning it to keep it up.

I have a 24' x 32' shop with white walls, floor and ceiling (15.5' height). I have (5) 400 watt low bay metal-halide lights with separate switches so I can light only as much as I need. With the doors (also white) closed, I normally use 1 light and at most I use 3 lights. With the doors open at night, I normally use 2 lights and once in a great while all 5. It is so bright that the people across the street have asked me not to turn them all on unless I close the doors.

It does take more effort to keep it clean though, especially the floor. I normally hose it down for about 15 minutes once a week; it stays pretty good the rest of the time.
