I use Firefox for GJ as well, and GJ has been giving me a few issues recently. I have noticed very slow page loading (10-15 seconds or more sometimes). It seems to happen randomly and it has been going on here and there for a couple weeks now (other websites still load fine).
Today right after signing in, while I was trying to make a post, as soon as I started typing inside the post box, my whole browser locked up and turned to a white screen within the browser window. I ended up having to "end task" close the Firefox browser using task manager and then reopen it again from scratch to reset everything and get Firefox working again. I was then able to sign in and make my GJ post, but when I did a quick edit of my post a minute or two later, GJ froze up again right after submitting the edit. No white screen this time, just an endless hang upon submitting the post edit. After I closed and reopened Firefox and GJ and then signed in again, I noticed that my original post edit never went through so I had to make the edit again. Everything worked fine the second time. Any other website I visit throughout the day while using Firefox seems to work fine.
The white screen and browser freezing issue started today for me. Firefox did ask and then send me a browser update several hours ago, so it might not be a GJ problem. The intermittent page loading lags do seem to be GJ specific though, because I haven't noticed those issues with any other website or forum.
8-4-2022 EDIT- The issue has continued over the last several days, making GJ almost unusable. I noticed the Firefox white screen issue happening on a couple other sites over the last few days as well. I found a site that talked about it being a known bug created by recent Firefox updates. It apparently only affects the desktop version of the browser, not the mobile version, so that might be why some aren't having any problems. Turning off the hardware acceleration feature within Firefox, and leaving it off until Firefox fixes the bug in a future update was recommended as a solution. After turning off hardware acceleration within Firefox, the white screen issue and the periodic slow page loading lag issue seems to be totally gone for me.
To turn off hardware acceleration-
-Click on the "three horizontal lines" button at the top right of the browser.
-Click on "Settings"
-Scroll down until you see the "Performance" heading and then uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available".
-Close and reopen Firefox and the white screen and occasional slow loading lag issues should be gone.
-Make a note of what you did, so hardware acceleration can be turned back on after Firefox fixes the bug in a future update.
