Getting ready to move into a new garage space, and am trying to find what ceiling paint to use to provide the most reflected light.

I know Sherwin-Williams has one with an LRV of 92, and I think Behr has one in the 95 range... anything with a higher performing number?

DO NOT BUY BEHR CEILING PAINT. Well maybe for a garage, but not for a finished room in a house. It dries with streaks. I had to do one bedroom 3 times to get it to look even. Never again !

I used Behr in my bedrooms and dining room. The ceiling in my dining room is semi gloss. It all looks good. Never had an issue with Behr. I also used Sherwin Williams in my living room and it to looks good. If you go with SW look for coupons on-line or in the ads that come in the newspaper. If I remember the discount is significant...

About 10% of my business is residential painting and Behr is as good as anything SW has to offer. Behr's 2g buckets are a great deal in ceiling paint. Buy a quality roller cover and keep it loaded properly and you will never have streaks or lines. I use nothing smaller than a 12" roller unless it's a small space or oddly detailed.

No offense man, but aren't you splitting some real fine hairs there ?

I mean, regardless of what lighting you plan on using, will your eyes be able to tell the difference between 92 or 95 LRV ?

Ding dang man, i know mine can't!

I agree with duckface, there are some wall primers that are so white they are that bluish-white like really hot (color spectrum) LEDs. You almost need sunglasses around them.

Had a 5 gallon white eggshell left over and used for my ceiling. Plenty white enough for me :). The floor in white made a big difference.
